About the role
Piie, Inc., is an intelligent payments engine startup currently focused on helping insurance companies meet their transformation objectives of increased digital and real-time payments to reduce costs and increase policyholder and distribution partner experience. We are seeking a high performing candidate to join our growing team as Sales and Business Development Executive. Candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record in selling financial technology-services based products to decision makers in the insurance industry and strong relationship management skills.
You will
- Initiate and lead targeted campaigns to increase awareness and sales of Piie’s capabilities to meet industry business objectives.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans to generate target revenue growth.
- Identify and influence relevant decision makers to generate and pursue opportunities and close sales.
- Qualify opportunities and take a leadership role in pursuits and the development of proposals.
- Advise the CEO and Board on identifying and developing programs that reinforce Piie’s value proposition with prospects, customers, and business partners.
- Help coordinate the efforts between sales, technology and product development to close sales and improve Piie’s market offering, including use case development and product pipeline.
- Work closely with Piie’s CEO and Board to ensure that the business and financial plan is developed, monitored, and achieved and that sales processes are consistently executed.
Required qualifications
- Previous professional experience of working as an Account Executive in a fast-paced or startup environment with responsibility for closing new accounts.
- In-depth understanding of the Insurance industry, ideally across property and casualty, life and annuity and group benefits.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and diverse team environment.
- Relationships with senior executives in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts in the marketplace.
- Ability to analyze problems and produce a range of options to arrive at the preferred solution.
- Poise, executive presence, and strong presentation skills, including a strong background in crafting and delivering proposals.
- Experience working with and selling to senior management.
- Strong understanding of financial technology solutions.
- Documented and consistent success in over-achieving goals/quota.
- Defining an account strategy for approaching new clients.
- Ability to operate with significant autonomy and discretion with proven business judgement.
- Expertise in participating and leading the negotiation and closing of contracts.
- Ability to travel as necessary to prospects, customers, partners, and industry conferences.
